BlueScope Steel is a multinational steel producer with operations the Australia, Pacific Islands, New Zealand, North America and Asia. Founded in 2002 following a demerger from BHP Billiton, BlueScope was originally known as BHP Steel prior to its name change in 2003. The headquarters of Bluescope steel are located in Collins Street, Melbourne Australia. Despite a centralised focus on steel as its product offering, it produces many different types of steel such as galvanised steel, 'colorbond' steel and corrugated galvanised iron. BSL offers both American and European style options.
